Peter heads up our insurance, lititgation and strata dispute practice areas.
Since graduating from university with first class honours in 2002, Peter has practiced exclusively as a litigation lawyer. He has acted for and against large insurers, companies, councils, liquidators, bankruptcy trustees and owners corporations in respect to a variety of matters including insurance and commercial disputes, property damage and negligence claims, fraud claims, building and common property defects disputes, managed investment schemes, insolvency and bankruptcy disputes, and debt recovery.
Immediately on being admitted as a lawyer, Peter appeared as an advocate in matters and has had the conduct of disputes in most jurisdictions in New South Wales as well as in the Federal Court of Australia. This has included matters in the original and appellate jurisdictions of those Courts. Peter is also experienced in conducting matters in interstate and international jurisdictions.
As a consequence of his extensive litigation experience, Peter is able to advise clients on resolving or avoiding disputes prior to legal proceedings in addition to being able to conduct matters once litigation has been commenced. His main focus is to provide practical advice and achieve the right outcomes for clients whether that is through alternative dispute resolution, negotiation or litigation.
