Lelien Chua is a Practice Manager with significant experience in Building and Construction disputes. She has also completed a Masters in Environmental Law & Science.
Lelien has worked with Owners Corporations and Associations, ranging from small to large strata and community living schemes across New South Wales - and with Builders, Developers and Contractors on various claims involving the Security of Payments legislation.
She is a strong litigator, who has practised in a multitude of jurisdictions in NCAT, various Local Courts across Metropolitan Sydney, the District Civil Court and the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
In addition to home building disputes and commercial construction disputes, Lelien has also drafted submissions on various environmental issues in response to Council policies, Local Environmental Plans, SEPP’s and proposed wildlife protection zones.
Lelien has volunteered in pro-bono matters with the Kingsford Legal Centre and the Environmental Defenders Office.
She has published a number of articles in the NSW Young Lawyers Journal and with the Master Builders Association. Lelien has also appeared as a Guest Solicitor on 2UE’s People’s Court Program.
She is a member of the New South Wales Law Society and the Sydney City Law Society.
