Sally is a Partner in our General and Commercial Litigation and Strata Disputes Practice Groups.
She is an experienced litigator and a strong advocate having appeared on behalf of clients in contested disputes in the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit Court, the Supreme Court, District Court and Local Court of New South Wales and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Sally is understanding and practical application of the law is extensive, having worked in private practice and for the Commonwealth Government. She prides herself on providing direct, solutions based and easy to understand advice on complex legal disputes.
Sally has extensive experience in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency disputes, strata disputes, insurance, commercial litigation, dispute resolution and mediation. Her experience includes defended creditor’s petitions, antecedent transactions and 139ZQ Notices, applications to set aside bankruptcy notices, applications to set aside creditor’s petitions, disputes involving discretionary trusts, constructive trusts and the doctrine of exoneration, claims for reimbursement of preference payments and disputes involving a liquidator’s entitlement to trust assets just to name a few. She has also had conduct of all manner of strata disputes including unauthorised changes to common property, breaches of by-laws, validity of by-laws, unreasonable refusal to grant a by-law, obtaining access orders, alleged failures to maintain common property, applications for compulsory management, applications to enforce caretaker agreements, easements and Access to Neighbouring Lands applications.
Sally is a member of the New South Wales Law Society, the High Court of Australia and the Sydney City Law Society.
